Auvers sur Oise – Giverny

Preceding Vincent Van Gogh, it was Charles-François Daubigny who was the first to paint this pretty village on the banks of the River Oise.
At Daubigny’s house and studio, you will discover many of his paintings and the 100 m² of walls painted by Daubigny and influenced by Corot.
When Vincent Van Gogh arrived in Auvers sur Oise, he lodged at the Auberge Ravoux until he took his own life. This inn (where you can still enjoy lunch) has become a shrine to his memory. After your visit, your chauffeur will take you to view all the important sites of Auvers sur Oise, including the church and its cemetery.
Between 1883 and his death in 1926 at the age of 86, Claude Monet lived in this house in Giverny for more than 40 years. Today, the Claude Monet Foundation offers visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the life of the artist. You will visit the famous water lilies studio, his house (including the private apartments, dining room, kitchen and lounge/studio), the Clos Normand – an extraordinary collection of Japanese prints – and the famous water garden that inspired so many of Claude Monet’s masterpieces.
